Jan graduated from the University of Virginia in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in accounting. She joined Arehart Associates in 1984 and has over 40 years of experience in public accounting.

Amber B. McLain, CPA

Partner

Amber earned her B.B.A. with a concentration in accounting from Bridgewater College in 2004. She joined Arehart Associates in 2006.

James A. Brooks, CPA

Jim earned his B.B.A. from James Madison University in 1982. He joined Arehart Associates in 1995.

Deanna Bratcher, CPA

Deanna earned her B.B.A. from Longwood University in 1983. She joined Arehart Associates in 2012.

Bobbie Sheffer, CPA

Bobbie earned her B.B.A. from Mary Baldwin College in 2003. She joined Arehart Associates in 2009.

Leslie Wood, CPA

Leslie earned her B.B.A. from Radford University in 1985. She joined Arehart Associates in 2016.

Emily Rutledge, CPA

Emily graduated from James Madison University in 2020 with a Master’s in Accounting. She joined Arehart Associates in 2020.

Tyler earned his B.B.A. from JMU in 2022. He joined Arehart Associates in 2022.

Jamey Chandler – Payroll Manager

Jamey earned her B.B.A. from Mary Baldwin College in 2009. She joined Arehart Associates in 2004.

The Arehart Associates, Ltd. History

Forrest Arehart began his career in Public Accounting in 1963. His practice continued to grow, so he founded Arehart Associates in 1976. Forrest retired in 2001 leaving behind a highly respected firm in the Shenandoah Valley. Since its establishment, Arehart Associates has maintained its reputation of providing high-quality accounting services with a team that our clients know and trust through long-term relationships.
